I've written a few posts on here and sadly none of them are glowing reports for TP-Link hardware.

I have multiple TP-Link devices as well as Tapo devices, investing heavily in their eco system however I have reached the end of my tether (no pun intended)

I purchased the BE 19000 router only to have non stop problems with it and had to finally return it and revert back to my trusty ASUS router, more recently I have reported on one of many cameras that doesn't allow RTSP even though it was advertised as doing so

I have another camera on the same network which is hard wired to a RE605x this works fine in the LAN but if i try to access it remotely I cannot, despite being able to see all the other cameras on the same network remotely with no issue

The the ohter day my Tapo HUB100 decided it didn't want to connect anymore so once again I found myself going through multiple steps to try and get it back on the network, any network for that matter, I did all the things that were suggested such as chaning the the Radio frequency to 1,6,or 11 all to no avail and now one of my Smart Bulbs is doing exactly the same thing and refuses to pair irrespective of what I do.

If I ask a question here it'll be met with the usual troubleshooting processes all of which I have tried on multiple occasions on each ofn these devices so as far as I'm concerned this is a company that is oushing out products that haven't been fully tested, are simply not robust enough outside a lab environment and ultimatley they, as a company are not willing to listen to their customers.

My advice to anyone considering TP-Link products is stick to their main networking products, but do your homework prior to purchasing and I'd stay away from any of their IoT devices because they are simply too fragile in a normal home environememt to set and forget.

Nice ideas, but poorly executed I'm afraid.

I'm sorry to hear that you've experienced multiple issues and malfunctions with your TP-Link devices, which have affected your experience. This is certainly not the level of performance we strive for, nor is it typical of TP-Link products.

Although it's not something we like to say, the reality is that no electronic device can be guaranteed to never malfunction. Some users might have a device that works flawlessly for years, while others might encounter issues shortly after purchase. This variability is, unfortunately, a matter of probability.

Regarding the issues with your Tapo device, have you contacted our support team via email to discuss the details? While our FAQs and in-app troubleshooting guides are designed to resolve the majority of problems, they can't always address 100% of cases. Given that different network environments and configurations can result in similar issues for different reasons, each case often requires individual analysis.

If you would like, you can send me the specific details of your issues via private message, and a specialist will assist you further. Alternatively, you might consider reaching out to your retailer for a replacement, though this may not necessarily resolve the issue if it's not related to the hardware itself.
