Archer BE550 Tri-band Wifi 7 router doesn't connect with my iPhone 16 Pro Max over MLO
I just received my new Archer BE550. I was excited to have this setup at my place to enjoy Wifi 7 technology on my iPhone 16. But it looks like I could not get my iPhone connected to Archer over MLO. My iPhone says, "Unable to connect <SSID>." Does anyone here has any idea on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you very much for posting in the TP-Link community.
Does your iPhone Pro Max connect to other wireless networks, such as the primary 5G or 6G networks? If it connects to the main and guest networks but fails to connect to the MLO network, please navigate to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings to reset the network settings. Then, try connecting to the MLO network again.
If that doesn’t help, check if you have other devices that support MLO to determine if the issue lies with the BE550 or the iPhone Pro Max. You may also consider reporting this issue to Apple for further suggestions.

I also have an IPhone 16 Pro Max that worked for about two days on the BE550 router. i have an open ticket with Apple we have tried everything to reset WIFI settings. the last thing they had me do was go find any other wifi and see if it works. using another wifi i was able to get my iphone 16 pro max to stay connected to wifi. all the issues i have are related to Apple apps not working IOS can't be upgraded because device error (Unable to check for updates an error occured while checking for a software update) try again. when i try to use iMessage (facetime activation - Unable to contact the facetime server. try again. Apple did say that the Iphone 16 Pro Max wifi doesnt work if you have VPN software installed. i dont use VPN software on my device so that was not my issue. i did see that the router has VPN software on it but i didnt activate mine at all. also game center stops me from playing any games that have to connect for updates and i can't update any apps to the new version they all time out the the same message not able to connect and install.

Are you referring to connecting the iPhone 16 Pro Max to the BE550's MLO Network, or to the main 5G or 6G network?
Regarding other devices, are they able to connect to the BE550 wireless network without issues? If so, it seems the problem is more likely with the iPhone 16 Pro Max rather than the router. You may need to reach out to Apple Support for further assistance.

I have a Archer AX21 that also will not connect with my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Every other device in the house connects just fine. I have done all the updates and all the settings that Apple suggests for the router. although, admittedly some of the settings they suggest I could not find in the app, and the app has some settings that Apple does not address. I have even reset the factory settings for the network on my phone. It will connect for a few seconds and then drop.

@Carol99 Can you please show us the Wireless Settings on the AX21? Of course with your Wi-Fi password obscured.
Does the iPhone 16 Pro Max connect to other wireless networks fine?
