The workaround given to VPN users, which is to downgrade TLS version to 1.0 on the VPN client is purely a short term solution that is putting users at risk when using OpenVPN on TP-Link DSL Modems. TLS 1.0 was deprecated and deemed unsafe for any encryption.

This is not a good enough solution!   Deliberately compromising security on any network device is asking for a law suit once multiple users home networks are hacked. 

This problem was raised in your forums almost a year ago and we still have not seen any firmware patches to address this issue.  Do you want to lose your customers?

Security with your products must be at the top of your list in today's day and age.
