Under Consideration IPv6 firewall rules are not updated after ip change

Hi all,
so far I have set up my IPv6 network successfully and now I want to forward some ports to one of my ipv6 hosts. The ipv6 firewall menu of the x75 brings the option to select my host with the respective ipv6 address from a list which is valid at this point in time, but after my host received a new v6 address (e.g. after a deco restart) the firewall rules are not updated with the new address and still hold the old ip. However, the IPs in the list of hosts are updated correctly. So, that is why I have to reconfigure the firewall rules manually each and every time my ip address changes. That is not acceptable.
I found some other threads dealing with exactly the same issue I am facing with my x75, but all other threads are already closed and I'm still searching for a solution. So, please help me!

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
There is a temporary workaround to disable the IPV6 firewall entirely. Would it work for you?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hi @David-TP ,
yes, I would like to give it a try. How does the workaround look like? Will there be an official solution with an upcoming firmware update?
Thx and best regards

Hi, did you find a solution?
I have a different device but am experiencing the same problem.
I even tried disabling the IPV6 firewall, but it didn’t work either.
As David-TP suggested, "There is a temporary workaround to disable the IPV6 firewall entirely. Would this work for you?"
Cheers :)

Hi @hescher ,

THX and best regards
Martin

Hi @David-TP,
I'm still waiting for an advise on how I can disable the IPv6 firewall on my XE75.
I'm still facing the same issue, that the port forwardings I configured in the IPv6 firewall become obsolete after the IPv6 of my destination has changed.
Please help me and the others who are facing the same issue!
Best

I'd be interested in a fix for this issue as well. Instead of disabling the IPv6 firewall entirely, perhaps it would be possible to register firewall rules according to device MAC address? This is how it worked on my Google WiFi system. This also makes it so that IPv6 changes don't invalidate existing IPv6 firewall rules.
