When a device's IPv6 address changes, existing IPv6 Firewall Rules are invalidated (because they are defined on the old IPv6 address).

We should be able to define IPv6 Firewall Rules on MAC addresses instead. This should avoid invalidation of the Firewall Rule when the IPv6 address changes. This is also how it worked on my old Google WiFi mesh system.

  @carlocab

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

There is a plan to optimize the IPV6 Firewall Rules on MAC Address, instead of IP addresses.

But there hasn't been a clear date when this feature will be finally implemented.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

Thank you for the update. What is the best way to track the release of this feature?
