  @David-TP

Hi.

My BE85 is using 1.1.1 Build 20240918 Rel. 34979, which was provided to me on the topic of another thread.

It looks like my Deco is a newer version than the 1.0.20 listed in this thread, are the fixes for 1.0.20 included in 1.1.1 as well?

I would like to know if an upgrade or firmware change would make it more stable.

  @MalusPumila

Hi, Nice to see you again.

The 1.1.1_20240918 beta doesn't cover the modification of 1.0.20_20240930 bea here. But the 1.0.20_20240930 Beta did fix the issue of iPhone 16 instability with the MLO network.

So you could try to revert to the 1.0.20_20240930 beta here if you want to test the new modifications(How to Downgrade Deco -Method 2-via firmware recovery)

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP thank you for the info. Would you mind letting us know when an updated version >=1.1.1 beta gets released with the fixes?

I would like to avoid having to reset the router/firmware recovery and loose my configuration, if possible.

I've disabled MLO for now as it is not usable with an iPhone 16 Pro, connectivity is lost too often (v. 1.1.1 beta).

  @David-TP

Thank you.
I downgraded BE85 from 1.1.1 and was able to successfully install 1.0.20 Build 20240930 Rel. 4424.

However, I then received a notification on the Deco App that the following firmware can be updated to 1.0.22 Build 20240926 Rel. 29842.

This firmware seems to have a newer version number but an older build date.
Is this expected for the Dev team?

  @David-TP

I'm afraid I'm quite confused.  I keep a close watch on the USA website for DECO BE95 updates because I have one unit that I got from splitting a 2 pack with a friend.  I believe it is Version 1.60.  On the website I found 1.0.21.  It has now been removed from the website.  (Luckily I have a copy, as it provides long ago promised client/device access to 6 GHz-2).  BUT I noticed it has in the filename "V2" which I believe designates hardware Version 2.

So what gives?  Was it mistakenly released and for the incorrect hardware?  Please advise.

  @MalusPumila

Hi, 1.0.22 should be the previously mentioned official firmware for the iPhone 16 stability issue.

1.0.20_0930_beta is the new beta firmware based on the 1.0.22 that added the 6 GHz Discovery Mechanism modification mentioned in this post.

It is just the version number that is quite confusing.

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @jzchen

Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback.

Can you share the file name of the saved firmware bin file for me?

Deco BE95 doesn't have V2. There is only V1.0(or V1.6)

I was wondering whether the save file might be for Deco BE85.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP Sure, thankfully I downloaded it because it is gone from the Support page:

  @jzchen

Hi, this version is for Deco BE95(V1/V1.6). "SP2_4_V2" here doesn't refer to the hardware version.

It was removed from the official version for further optimization. Later the new official firmware will also support the client/device access to 6 GHz-2.

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP

Thank you very much.

I see that 1.0.20_0930 is more advanced.

I will use this version while waiting for the new version.

Since this is a minor version change, 1.0.22 and 1.0.20 can be mutually changed, right?

If it is not a problem, I will try a few things.
