Model: Archer BE800   Archer BE805
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.6 Build 20240808 rel.26673(5347)

I'm planning to linked my existing BE800 (main router) to another BE805 via ethernet to extend my wireless network.

I understand that the BE805 has 2 x 10 Gbps WAN & LAN Ports

I would to know if the Ethernet Backhaul can work if i connect the LAN cable via 10 Gbps WAN/LAN Port on the BE800 --> 10 Gbps WAN Port on the BE805 as I would need to connect the other 10 Gbps LAN Port on the BE805 to my 10Gbps switch

Regards

Yes.

Once the EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul gets established, you can connect a LAN cable from the 10 Gbps WAN/LAN Port on the BE800 to the 10 Gbps WAN Port on the BE805.

Keep the new BE805 in its factory default state and first connect its LAN port to the LAN port of the main BE800 to create the Ethernet Backhaul. After that, you can move the cable to its WAN port as needed. Be sure to check the tips in this thread:
