Deco X60 V3.20 vs Deco BE25

Hi,
I need to buy a WiFi mesh network, and I have two options. I could use some help deciding between the two:
-Deco BE25 (https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/deco/deco-be25/)
-Deco X60 V3.20 (https://www.tp-link.com/ph/home-networking/deco/deco-x60/)
Both options are in the same price range in my local market. The BE25 (3600) supports WiFi 7, but it’s slower than the X60 V3.2 (5400).
Any thoughts?

Hi, welcome to the community.
The wireless specifications for Deco X60 and Deco BE25 are:
Deco X60 | 2.4 GHz:40MHz/ax 5 GHz: 160MHz/ax |
2 X 5GHz Antennas + 2 x Dual-band Antennas |
2.4GHz:574mbps(287*2) 5 GHz:4804mbps(1201*4) |
Deco BE25 | 2.4 GHz: 40MHz/be 5 GHz: 160MHz/be |
2 X 5GHz Antennas + 2 x 2.4GHz Antennas |
2.4GHz:688mbps(344*2) 5 GHz:2882mbps(1441*2) |
If there haven't been any Wi-Fi 7(802.11be) compatible mobile devices, you could consider using Deco X60.
Thank you very much.

@David-TP Thanks a lot
What do you mean by *4 in (5 GHz:4804mbps(1201*4))? Is it 4 Antennas and each antenna speed is 1201 mpbs?
Are there any differences aside from speed? considering I am planning to keep this mesh for few years

Hi, It refers to 4*4 MU-MIMO. The maximum link speed per MIMO of 5GHz on Deco X60 is up to 1201mbps.
For BE25, its 5GHz is 2*2 MU-MIMO, and its maximum link speed per MIMO of 5GHz is up to 1441mbps.
Other than the wireless link speed, the main difference would be the Hardware design.
And Deco X60 doesn't have the WiFi 7 new features, such as Multi-Link Operation (MLO)/Multi-RUs/4K QAM

Hello David,
i just got the X60 and set it up for the mesh wifi. But I saw BE25 has 2.5Gbps port.
and if my main modern connected with BE 25 with 2.5Gbps port is that give faster signal than my modern connected with Gbps port X60?
and if i do not want to replaced all the newly bought X60, but set 1 BE25 as Main Deco then set the X60 as Satellite Decos, will X60 also released the 2.5 Gbps signal ( repeat it from BE25?)
thanks.

Hi, may I know how much of your network bandwidth?
If the overall network bandwidth is below 1 Gbps, replacing the main Deco with BE25 might not hugely increase the bandwidth.
If they are all higher than 1 Gbps, replacing with BE25(EU) does help improve the bandwidth from the main Deco, especially the wired devices.
For the satellite X60, when it is wirelessly linked to the main Deco BE25, the wireless backhaul connection speed would still be limited to the lower wireless specification(2882 Mbps over 5 GHz, 574 Mbps over 2.4 GHz).
Compared with Deco BE25, I think Deco X90(if the ISP bandwidth is below 1 Gbps and there is no 6 GHz supported device yet), or Deco BE85(If the bandwidth is over 1G and there are 6 GHz compatible devices) would be better.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
