Model: Tapo T100
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello. I would love that my sensor is triggered when I enter a room and so I placed it in the door frame. But the problem is that since the detection interval has a minimum of 4 seconds sometimes it's not triggered. Would it be possible to make it always detect movement? I don't understand why there is the 4 seconds limit, it's be very nice to give us this freedom. I understand its battery  consumption would be higher but it's something I'm willing to pay and I'm sure other users would too.  And if permanent detection isn't possible then even a shorter period than 4 seconds woul also be nice like 1 or 2 seconds.

Thanks

This can also be set with Tapo automation. T100 supports "No motion detected for a set time" as the automation trigger.

From my point of view, this can avoid excessive detection notifications.

It seems that your request is based on automation, am I right? Could you share the specific scenario you have in mind?

@Wayne-TP  I want to use them as some kind of presence detection. So that if I'm in my living room lights are permanently on and if I leave they turn off. It happens sometimes that I move very few and in that frame of 4s I am not detected. Then I'm using Google home to turn off lights after X time of no motion detection
