Hello,

I’ve been trying to set up a VPN client on my Archer AX73. The VPN status shows as "Connected," and when I click the help icon next to "Connected," I can see the Server IP and DNS details.

Additionally, VPN access to the device is enabled.

I've tried both TCP and UDP configurations, and both show "Connected" without any apparent issues in the status.

However, I’m encountering the following problem:

  • When I connect to the router’s Wi-Fi with the VPN enabled, the device connects but displays “Connected without Internet,” and there is no internet access.
  • When I connect to the router’s Wi-Fi with the VPN disabled, the device connects with working internet.

It seems there may be an issue with the VPN setup itself. My ISP is Turk Telekom, where VPN providers are frequently blocked. Could this be contributing to the issue?

Thank you for any insights you can provide.

Hi,

Usually VPN providers offer VPN client software that can be installed on a computer or Android/iOS device.

So, if you want to find out whether you are being blocked by Turk Telekom I suggest you install the VPN client software on a computer that is connected to the Archer AX73 and then see if this works or not.

  @woozle

Thank you for your response.

I downloaded both UDP and TCP configuration files, and I was able to connect successfully using the OpenVPN application. This suggests there aren’t any issues with the configuration files themselves.

The challenge is that, because this is a corporate computer and I don’t have admin rights, I can’t install any VPN client software directly on it.

The same configuration file works flawlessly with the OpenVPN app on my Android device. However, when I try to connect using the router’s VPN client, it shows as “Connected,” but there’s no internet access.
