Hi All,

 

Does anyone know if there is a way of monitoring the usage of the Internet FTP Server setup? There seems to be very little you can do to make sure its secure or even working as expected.

 

I've set it up for my family to be able to access pictures etc from my USB drive. But I have no idea when it is being accessed or anything. Doesn't seem to add anything into the logs when a user connects or anything.

 

Be nice to know when its active so I can check its being accessed by someone I expect and has not been hacked etc.

Currently, there is no corresponding function to record the access records and connection status of the FTP server.

While we don't have any specific details that I can share around, I'll make sure to log this feature request and pass it along to the team.

Thanks for getting it raised as a feature request for me.

 

Anything to help improve the FTP server functionality would be great

 

As an additional, is it possible to also raise an option to setup the FTP server as sftp too? Or provide any other way to increase security. 

 

I have found I regularly get people port scanning my connection and opening FTP ports etc increase the risk of brute force attacks
