Model: Tapo P304M
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Network band not showing while connecting Tapo plug

So I noticed a clear issue here especially as a user of TP-Link Deco with a unified SSID name.

How am I supposed to know which band is which in the "network connection" page when I add a new Tapo plug?

I guess TP-Link guys don't even use their own products. Come on, it's so simple yet you guys can make life easier for your users?

For mesh routers, client devices like smartphones usually detect only one SSID. In your case, it appears that the app has separately scanned both SSIDs of the mesh units. You can choose either SSID to continue the configuration. If that fails, try selecting the other SSID during reconfiguration.

From my experience, as long as the phone's location hasn't changed, the order of the WiFi list should stay the same.
