Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 20240830 Rel. 50008

Hi,

I'm using Deco X60 (JP) Ver: 3.0 here in Japan.

I've updated my Deco to the latest firmware 1.3.0 20240830 Rel. 50008 last month since I've received the notification on Deco App.

However, I've recently noticed that I don't see the menu "VPN Client" nor "VPN Server" in the Advanced menu in the app.

I remember that I created the OpenVPN config file from the VPN Server menu, but now it's gone.

I don't remember what was my previous firmware version, but my current firmware is not on the TP-Link's firmware list either.

Does this mean that 1.3.0 had an issue and it has stopped distributing?

Thanks.

Hi, Is the current internet connection type "V6 Plus"(or IPV4 over IPV6)?

Under this connection type, Deco doesn't support VPN Server/client features.

Thank you very much and best regards.

Thanks David for the answer.

Yes I do connect my internet with V6 Plus, therefore it's not showing. I was doing a research and I came across with V6 Plus has limitations on establishing the VPN.

I have one additional question regarding the VPN and one question related to my current firmware.

Additional question is, is Deco X60 V3 supports VPN pass through? I found few articles mentioning about establishing a VPN connection under V6 Plus network, and they've solved the issue by using VPN pass through.

Related question is, since 1.3.0 is installed on my Deco why is 1.3.0's firmware image is not uploaded on the website? Was there any problem? or just having a time delay?

Thanks for the answer.

Hi, Thanks for the update.

Deco X60_V3_1.3.0 supports VPN Passthrough and it is enabled by default.

I think it is a time delay that the 1.3.0 hasn't been uploaded to the local official site.

Best regards.
