Easymesh in near future

Hi @Doc_Octopus,
I'm glad to hear that EasyMesh networking brings you an excellent experience~
For the necessary functions of the satellite router you mentioned, they have been included in the plan, and some models are gradually supporting them. I suggest you pay attention to the subsequent firmware updates.
In addition, does 'managing the network ports' refer to connecting the wired client to a fixed LAN port?
For the firmware update of the satellite router, you currently need to reset the satellite router and then update its firmware in the management interface separately, and then reset it again to reconfigure it as a satellite router. I know that this process may be a bit cumbersome, but the technicians are also working hard to improve and optimize this process. I hope that in the future, the satellite router firmware can be directly updated without affecting the mesh network.
Regarding whether the satellite router will support the expansion of the guest network, IoT network, and MLO network. Currently, MLO/IoT/Guest Wi-Fi can't be extended in an EasyMesh network.
However, it is indeed in the plan, and in the future, the satellite router will be able to extend the main router's guest network, IoT network, and MLO network.
We also hope to optimize the user experience of EasyMesh and let more people enjoy the convenience of EasyMesh.

@Joseph-TP you say it's in the plans, but what does that mean from a roadmap perspective. I bought three of the top of the line archer BE 900 and the IOT and guest networks are basically useless for me in a large house. I'm returning these things pronto.

HI @Realdeal1977,
For your need, it is recommended that you can consider Wi-Fi 7 Deco. In Deco Mesh Network, the iot network, guest network can be expanded.

@Joseph-TP but if you specifically want the gaming features this is not a viable option.
I'm still surprised that these standard features were not added in the initial implementation.
The guest and IoT networks are central to the whole usability case for these routers and yet after many months there is nothing!
I'm pretty sure that WiFi 7 MLO is not available on EasyMech nodes either which is just as dumb for an EasyMeth setup of all WiFi 7 devices.

Hi@raven-au,
Thank you for your feedback.
We are also planning and further improving the functions you mentioned, and hope to gradually update the firmware to implement these functions in the future.
Thank you again for your understanding and support.

@Joseph-TP that update does sound great but it also doesn't address any of the feature SSID extention (or MLO) to EasyMesh nodes so will prevent people like myself, that have a number of IoT devices in poor signal locations and need them to connect to a node, from putting back my GE800 + BE900's to even try this firmware.

Hi@raven-au,
Our R&D staff is working hard to develop the function of synchronizing other networks to satellite units, and we hope to realize these functions as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
