Will a poweline adapter solve my problem?

Hello,

We got two buildings, one house and one garage. The power line in to this lot is splited. One splits of to the house with its own "fuse box" and one splits of to the garage with its own "fuse box".

We got a router in the house and the wifi does not reach to the garage.

Do you think a powerline adapter would solve my problem, one plugged in to socket near the router in the house and one in a socket in the garage?

Or is powerline adapter solution limited to only work within the same "fuse box"?

Best regards

Fredrik

Q3.4: Can Powerline adapters work if they are separated by different electric circuits?

A: No. If they can pair in the same room, but the powerline LED turns off when you move one powerline device to another area, this usually means they are plugged into separate electrical circuits, preventing them from communicating. Please try different locations.

Q3.10: Can Powerline adapters work if they are separated by Circuit Breakers/ Fuse Boxes/ Fuse Boards?

A: Generally speaking, PLC can be used across Circuit Breakers/ Fuse Boxes/ Fuse Boards. A few Circuit Breakers/ Fuse Boxes/ Fuse Boards have a filtering effect and weaken the PLC communication. In most cases, they have little influence on the communication of PLC. So generally, PLC can be used if they are separated by Circuit Breakers/ Fuse Boxes/ Fuse Boards.

It will actually depend on how your electrical circuit has been built.
