Model: Deco X50-5G
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.5

Hi,

I bought deco x50 5g from amazon uk, using lyca sim card(lyca using ee) with unlimited boadband, but my internet speed are up to 50Mbps on my phone, and on my pc connected to lan cable are up to 20Mbps with ping on both devices up to 180ms. What I tried so far, when I got modem, it was 1.1.5 sw version, Updated it to 1.1.7, but everything went worse, so had to go back to 1.1.5. when I log in to http://tplinkdeco.net/ and go to advanced/system/system logs there's loads of errors. If you need log i can provide. it is only on 5G, 5GHz and 160MHz. Tried QoS, no changes. Router/modem placed on a window, nothing obstructing it. is it possible to do something about it?I can't believe that's gonna be speed of 5G, even my phone can do 30ms ping with 150Mbps download. there's some of the logs:

Hi, welcome to the community.

It is suggested to install the 1.2.1 version here to see whether it helped:

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/727392

Have you checked the 5G NR bands or Cell ID on the mobile phone when it uses the same SIM card?

After that, you could refer to this link to lock Deco to a similar Cell ID to see whether it helps improve the speed:

How to Find a Good 5G Network Environment for Deco X50-5G

Wait for your reply and best regards.

So I did checked 5G NR band, locked it like in that link. After doing that it slightly improved and speed and ping over phone, but not over lan connected pc. Then I upgraded 1.2.1 it made little more improvement on phone connection, so now it is up to 132ms ping and speed about 20Mbps - 130Mbps, that's alot better but only on phone. on pc still getting crazy ping almost 150ms - 190 ms and speed is up to 10Mbps. I will try to check on a laptop over wifi, if it makes any difference, but i think over Lan connection should be stronger. I will try to order different sim, not sure if it will help or not.

edit: Just ordered ee sim card with plan Full works unlimited for iphone with 5G standalone. That's what ee recommended to me when I told them I gonna use deco x50 5G. I should get it on Saturday.

Thanks,

Gytis

So I did so testing around. what I noticed that, when you change from 4G to 5G it gives you almost perfect setting, but there's a problem, you can't use band N78 when you try to lock in cell. it gives you only N1 if you try to put N78 it gives error on NRARFCN that it is (invalid. value not between 620000 and 653332) and you need to change carrier manually  to EE Internet not EE. BUT when you choose EE it will let you change to band N78 and gives no error, but settings are worse. so after alot of testings my I had to do everything manually and so far i got best best ping, speed not best, but i hope you can help me. I will upload some screenshots from deco app with all settings. when I changed manually Mobile ISP to EEInternet APN Type you can choose only dynamic or static.
