While in 1.1.1, it seems fine for ETH backhaul.

(BTW, it had instability issue both in wired and wireless connection)

Screenshots attached are current situation in 1.1.2

  @Yasuyuki is your backhaul via daisy chain or switch? You try different eth ports?

Two BE85 had been connected via 2.5G switch, and I tried to unplug sub BE85's cable from the switch and plug directly to main BE85 as daisy chain, soon after I looked your reply. Then I observed that all other wired devices via switch were detached from the Deco network. Also, Backhaul mode was still not changed. Rebooting BE85s made no changes. After I undo the connection, these devises are return to the network, thankfully.

Fmm…weird.

  @Yasuyuki That's so strange. :/

Hopefully they can resolve these issues promptly.

Appreciate your replies, btw. Will definitely just stick to 1.1.1 for now.

  @David-TP Hello. I have 4 BE85 units with issues, particularly with the Wireguard protocol. The VPN often blocks the network for a few seconds. Support has offered me to download this new BETA version, but after reading the comments, I'm not sure if it's a good idea. My main Deco is connected to my cable modem, two Decos are directly connected to the main Deco via wired connections, and a fourth Deco is connected via Wi-Fi. Do those who have done the update notice that the Decos are now only connecting via Wi-Fi instead of wired? And another question, in case of problems, how can I revert to the base version 1.1.1

Additionally, I have DECO units with hardware version V1. Can I install the proposed update, or does it only apply to DECO units with hardware version 2?

Thank you for your help

  @David-TP

Hi David,

I was so impressed with the firmware upgrade to the BE65, that I decided to treat myself to a pair of BE85 as I realised it would allow me to have a full 10Gbe network.

Added them to network then removed the BE65, then upgraded to the beta firmware, all good but then the dreaded "Abnormal WAN port speed" message appeared, is there another beta that fixes this (For BE85)? If so can you message the link over? I promise I wont buy anymore stuff after this for a few months :)

Hello David, what I received from TP-Link support is the same version as the one offered here. Are you experiencing any issues besides the LAN speed limitation error message? Do you think I should do the update? Does wired backhaul work

  @supersly

Hi. I think you can try to install the 1.1.2 version. It could revert to the official 1.1.1 directly via web UI by the way.

”WAN Connection Error“ will be fixed on the official version.

Ethernet Backhaul failure is still under confirmation and will update here as soon as there is any further improvement.

Best regards.

  @tatsa

Hi, Have you tried to set the preferred Deco for VIGI cameras?

So far, there hasn't been a plan to support setting individual IoT SSIDs for each Deco.

Thank you and best regards.

  @David-TP

Will BE85 have the Guest Captive Portal like much lower models (BE23)?

For the extremely premium price tag, BE85 should have all the bells and whistles....
