X60 network - serious lag with iOS 18.3.1

Since upgrading iPhones yesterday I have the most horrendous lag using our x60 network at home.
does not affect pc or wired devices.
iPhones and iPads are not even be able to run speed test - either app or browser based.
many apps have no connectivity.
only 'cure' is to change WiFi network direct to host router from isp and or switch to gsm phone coverage. Speed and coverage is restored instantly.
this is clearly just a deco issue.
I use the network of 5 decos to connect 60+ devices in access point mode. Reboot every morning at 3am. Have been perfectly functional and stable for years.
any ideas how to mitigate this before I turn them all off?
everything is fully updated. Unfortunately.
thanks

Hi, Sorry for the delay. Yes, I realized you were in AP mode, and Deco in AP mode doesn't support customizing DNS settings.
Are you still having the previously reported issues since a newer IOS 18.3.2 was released a few weeks ago?
If the issue is repeated after updating to 18.3.2, please feel free to send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com (please add the forum ID#758040) for further assistance.
By the way, have you tried to set the Deco X60 into the default router mode to see whether iPhones behave as expected?
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi, welcome to the community.
My iPhone is also updated to 18.3.1, the network seems normal.
Can I have the model number of your iPhones?
"many apps have no connectivity "
-Can you give some examples of these non-working APPs?
It is also suggested to refer to this link to set the IPV4 DNS to 8.8.8.8 to see whether it helps:
How to change DNS server settings on my Deco
Please also try to forget and reconnect to the WiFi of Deco X60 once.
Wait for your reply and best regards.
