My Meaco desktop has no smart features in itself, so when the smart plug turns on all it does it provide power to the fan. Which means the fan doesn't turn on without the remote.

Is there a way I can make it actually start working just by it having power from the smart plug?

If not can you think of any other device or workaround?

The smart plug can only control the power supply of the connected appliance. It is suitable for plug-and-play devices, but not for devices that require additional steps to operate after being powered on.
