AV600 won't broadcast WiFi signal after pairing

My AV600 powerline WiFi extender has been working for at least a year but stopped broadcasting WiFi yesterday, no changes to my set up.
I have done a factory reset on it, at which point I can see it on my phone as a WiFi point to connect to, but as soon as I pair it to the home powerline adapter (connected to my router) it stops broadcasting a WiFi signal.
All the correct green lights are showing.
I have tried switching everything off including router, then bringing the router back online, the connected adapter online (and factory resetting it) then switching the AV600 back on , facory resetting it and pairing it but still the same problem.
Any suggestions please or is it broken? Thanks.

For your iisue, I think you may have configured the Wi-Fi clone feature between the router and the powerline adapter. Wi-Fi clone is a feature provided by TP-Link Powerline extender, which allows you to quickly and easily copy the wireless settings (including SSID and password) from the front router to the extender.
The following links are the configuration steps of Wi-Fi clone and the steps of pair the Powerline Network respectively.

Hi@OobuJoobu,
The models begin with TL-WPAxxxx will broadcast the Wi-Fi signal (“W” for “Wireless”); The models start with TL-PAxxxx only support the Ethernet connection.
Please check what is the model of your device? How to find the model number of your TP-Link device
If your device is new, it is recommended that you replace it with a device with WiFi function.
