Model: TL-WPA4220 KIT
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: The Latest Available

Hello world,

I installed a StarLink router and I need to extend the network accross the house. So I bought a WPA4220 KIT. But when I plug the master and th slave and connected togheter with powerline connection, the slave (AV600) after few seconds, the ethernet light turns on, then all lights go off and the system reboots on its own.

I noticed the following error from the Av600 web-log (but I don't know if it's related to the problem I'm reporting):

When I unplug the ethernet cable from the router Gen3 the problem doens't occur (I can login on webserver of the Wifi and see that Powerline is ON). The problem doesn't occur also if I connect the master to a different router.

I also purchased another Av600 but the problem is the same.

The master and slave are in different power socket. The same issue happened with both equipments.

I've tried to reset both, same issue.

Shall I return both and purchase a different model or brand or is there a fix?

Cheers

Hi@Voltszaren,

Thank you for reporting your issue to community.

If your powerline adapter is having self-rebooting issues, please try the suggestions below:

1. Try plugging the adapters into different wall outlets to rule out any electrical issues.

2. Ensure that your Powerline adapter is running the latest firmware. Instructions for updating can be found here: How to update the firmware using tpPLC Utility

3. Reset the powerline devices to factory settings and reconfigure them.

  @Joseph-TP

Hy:

1. Try plugging the adapters into different wall outlets to rule out any electrical issues.

I tried different wall outlets in different floors of the house. But Ive the same issue

2. Ensure that your Powerline adapter is running the latest firmware. Instructions for updating can be found here: How to update the firmware using tpPLC Utility

I've checked the firmware version and they have the latest firmware available.

3. Reset the powerline devices to factory settings and reconfigure them.

I've resetted the devices multiple time but the issue remain the same.

I'll write to local support to have assistance (but I surfed the forum community and I see that many people have the same issue).
