Charge guard is amazing for phone and smart watch charging. But what's annoying is that the charging cable plug uses 0,5 to 1 Watt standby.

wich triggers the charge guard timer and ultimately turns off the smart plug when phone/watch is not connected.

therefore I need to physically turn the plug on every time i need to charge, when this can easily be done automatically with a timer delay after last charge session.
If this is implemented a simple automation will make us never having to turn it on manually again. For example:

when smart plug (turns off)

(Wait 8 hours)

Then (Turn on smart plug)

I have an automation idea that might be helpful -- during the time period when you need to charge (automation effective time), e.g. 1- 2hs before your bedtime, turn on the smart plug if it is off.

Hi, yes that is not a bad idea and i did try it a while ago but it will not work.

For my use its supposed to turn off the charging after 5 minutes when it measures under 2W.

and when there is nothing plugged in except the charging cable it will obviously measure under 2W normally <1W to 1W standby, so the plug will always turn off after 5 minutes no matter what.

It does not matter what i do with an automation unless the feature is changed it will always turn of after the chosen time period.
