@David-TP is it help if i give you my MAC address?
I'm litte bit confused, you said that "either the ID version hasn't been implemented, or the current firmware push release hasn't covered your device's MAC address"
so it means i will never get the 1.7.0 firmware at all, so I have to wait for 1.7.1 or above to be release?
Or will the engneering team will fix thix 1.7.0 firmware so my MAC address range or region code is include?
Can engineering team helping me again via email?

I don't know if you notice or not but, I already told in this Thread (someone here also did the same) that if I tried update with (M4R 2.0_en_1.7.0 Build 20250228 Rel. 64570_US_EU_JP_AU_TW_B4_ID_EG_SG_up_RSA2048 / Deco M4_V1/V2(SG) the Progress Bar is showing and running until 100% then Rebooting, but nothing happen with the deco physically, the firmware is still at the previously installed, even the deco is not rebooting or blinking while updating...
But if i tried update with (Deco M4_V1/V2 (US/AU/UK/B4/JP/TW / 1.7.0_build_20250228_Pre Release) the progress bar is not showing at all and
showing failed message "Upgrade failed. Please select the latest version of firmware to upgrade."
May be reconsider for fixing this firmware .. pleaseee....

Hello David
I've been using three Deco M4R EU devices for over a year.
Unfortunately, I'm not very happy with the devices.
My current firmware is: 1.7.0 build 20240307 rel. 49485
With the Deco devices, I manage four Tapo cameras, which I want to assign to exactly one of the three Deco devices, namely the one closest to the camera.
I do this manually (since it doesn't work automatically) via connection preference, where I assign the camera to the corresponding Deco device. But even that only works halfway. Very often, I see the camera assigned to a different Deco device, even though I can see in the app that the camera is set to my preferred Deco device.
This makes it difficult for me to access the camera, as it's assigned to a Deco device further away than I configured.
WHY is TP Link unable to solve this problem???
This was the reason I bought this mesh system.
For over a year, I've been regularly searching for a corrected firmware, unfortunately in vain.
Now my patience is running out, and I'd like to ask you whether I should wait a bit longer or whether it would be better to buy a different mesh system right away?
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Regards, Chris
