Model: Deco X50   Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Deco X50(US)_V1.30_1.2.10 Build 20241105

@David-TP

15 days ago I purchased Deco x50(1.30) & auto update 1.2.10 US version. But I'm facing to much heating issue, 2.4ghz IOT devices disconnecting & 5hgz range low issues facing. My main unit Deco M5 v3.20 satellite unit Deco x50(1.30) . My last device Deco x10 & I'm not facing heating or 5hgz range issue. Deco x10 5ghz range superb. I think Deco x50 maybe more updated device & performance superb. But I'm wrong about Deco x50. I'm not find firmware download link at US HW 1.30 . So please released stable and smooth device optimized firmware. Please solved mentioned issues & firmware update or download link sites. Sorry for my bad English 🥺.

Thanks in advance 🙂

  @Abedur

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

As Deco X10 doesn't support an IoT network, if the devices are roaming to Deco X10, I think they might disconnect from the IoT Network.

Since Deco X50 has an advanced wireless specification, may I know why you set Deco M5 as the main Deco instead of Deco X50?

By the way, how did you find out the 5GHz range of Deco X50 is low and far away from expected?

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Thanks for your valuable response 😊

Yes I'm using Deco M5(3.20)US as main unit. Only because of Home Care supported. Deco x50(1.30) my second unit or satellite unit. Deco x10 not exist anymore replace with Deco x50(1.30). IOT devices disconnecting issue facing from 2.4ghz Deco x50(1.30) not from Deco x10. 5hgz range lower then Deco M5. My 2 unit wirelessly connect distance 22 feet only barrier one flash door ( Not wooden made from plywood) . My previous units deco x10 or Deco M4 always connected with Deco M5 strong signal. But Deco x50(1.30) connected strong/ medium signal fluctuating. Even I searched by WiFi scanner app dbi always -65 to -72 where my previous units always signal dbi -48 to -55 at the same position or place. So it's not extend my coverage as I aspected range. Maybe Deco x10 & Deco x50(1.30) built-in antenna position different. Some sites mentioned Deco x50(1.30) Qualcomm chipset some where Broadcom chipset. Please provide heating issue solution if possible range . I can't find Deco x50(1.30) at TP-Link US sites for about my router details & firmware update or download link.

If possible please cleared about chipset Qualcomm or another chipset DECO X50(1.30)US.

Thanks again for reading my reply 😊.

  @Abedur

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.

The latest firmware of Deco X50-V1.3 is 1.2.10 Build 20241105 Rel. 40010, and I think you already have the latest firmware.

The chipset solution is considered company confidential and is not allowed to be shared or disclosed elsewhere.

As for the heating issues, I haven't seen any related bug. Usually, it is hard to tell from the user's description whether the current operating temperature is normal or not. Currently, it is recommended to place Deco X50 in an open space, table-top, 1-1.2m higher from the floor, away from direct sunlight.

In your case, if you just purchased Deco X50_V1.3, I think you could consider replacing it with the same Deco M5 or Deco S7 if the Deco M5 is no longer in stock.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
