Model: ER8411
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20241121 Rel.21021

I have an Omada ER8411, and a MikroTik CCR2116.

The Omada does PPPoE encapsulating/deencapsulating at near full 10g line speeds, where as the CCR does PPPoE in software, limiting it to about 2.5Gbps.

Is it possible to set the Omada to act as a bridge, passing traffic from the CCR directly through it, effectively bridging it's PPPoE connection to the CCR, and passing whatever IP address it gets to the CCR, basically letting the CCR do all the routing, NAT and switching, meanwhile all the PPPoE (de)encapsulation is done by the Omada?

My service provider only offers PPPoE and finding something that can do PPPoE at 10G speeds reliably is pretty much a fools erand as most providers have ditched it in favor of DHCP.

Hi @nabeelr

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Officially, there is no bridge mode.

There is only one thing called "disable NAT". I am not sure if that meets your expectation of "bridge".

You can try that out.
