Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2

Hello shaggers.

I have recently had an issues with my x50 and the Ethernet connection. Last night night the Ethernet network dropped out, I checked and tested the cable, my network switch and both were operational and working correctly. I swapped the Ethernet cable from the Deco going to the switch and that worked. Which I thought was odd. Then this morning the same issue arises, so I put the old Ethernet cable back on and then it works again. While this happens, all Deco and WiFi connections are green and work as normal.

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know the current firmware version of your Deco X50_V1.2?

Can I have the model number of your network switch? Can you also share a screenshot of your network topology, such as:

When you mentioned "Last night the Ethernet network dropped out", did you mean the satellite units no longer showed as "connected via Ethernet(Ethernet Backhaul)?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Hi mate

Nothing connected to the Ethernet ports were showing as connected in the network. But WiFi still worked.

  @Beanie_mcweanie

Thanks for the update.

Is the network layout like:

ISP----main Deco X50---network switch---some Ethernet connected devices

                            \-----<WiFi>---satellite Deco#1

                            \-----<WiFi>---satellite Deco#2

Can I have the model numbers of these Ethernet-connected devices, as well as the network switch?

I hope that when the Ethernet connection fails again, it is suggested to check the IP address settings on the wired devices, especailly the network gateway:

How to find IP address on your devices

It is suggested to connect the network switch to another Ethernet port from the main Deco X50.

By the way, has there been any change recently, like any firmware upgrades, or new devices joining the network?

Best regards.
