Hello TP-Link Community and Moderators,

I’m reaching out to inquire about the availability of EasyMesh Wired Backhaul support for the TP-Link Archer AX12. I found an older, locked thread discussing this feature (https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/647206), but there were no recent updates, so I’m starting this new topic to seek clarification.

I’m eager to use EasyMesh with a wired backhaul to optimize my network performance, but it appears this feature isn’t currently supported on the AX12. I’ve noticed that the Archer AX1500, another Wi-Fi 6 router in TP-Link’s lineup, already supports EasyMesh with wired backhaul, which suggests it might be feasible for the AX12 as well. Could a TP-Link admin or moderator kindly address the following:

1. Is EasyMesh Wired Backhaul planned for the Archer AX12 in a future firmware update?
2. If so, is there an estimated timeline for when this feature might be available?
3. Are there any technical limitations preventing wired backhaul support on the AX12 compared to models like the AX1500?

My router is running the latest firmware ([insert firmware version]), but I don’t see any EasyMesh Wired Backhaul options in the settings. Any insights from the TP-Link team or community members would be greatly appreciated, especially given the AX1500’s support for this feature.

Thank you for your time and assistance!

Best regards,
MEDINEM

  @MEDINEM

Keep an eye on this thread. If the ethernet backhaul has been implemented in AX12 it should be added to this list of routers.

No one can give you an ETA for this. AX1500 as well as AX10 are both AX1500 capable, but they are a different router models which has this implemented already, hence they are in this list.

Hello! I just bought two Archer AX12 routers in Brazil and thought they would already have EasyMesh via Ethernet cable. I was disappointed that this basic feature wasn't available, as it's definitely better to have a wired connection for a good network. Do you have an estimated date for this update? Thanks!

  @Joseph-TP Hi Joseph! Could you also add in the log for Ax12 "Custom bandwidth per device"? It would be amazing to limit certain devices to never use, like, more than "100Mbps". Just as the Be230 in the home page is able to set a bandwidth control with just a few clicks for each device. Thank you!
