Model: Archer BE700
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20241115 rel.18772(5553)

Hello!

I have Archer BE700 (BE15000).

My devices at home (iPhone 15 Pro Max, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 FE) dont see 6Ghz network.

I have tried various settings for this network - changed many bands, PSC On/Off,

When I set up MLO network - before connect it devices see it as Network with 5Ghz, 6Ghz and 2,4Ghz. But after connect (when password entered) network in menu shows as 2,4Ghz and 5ghz only.

Mobile app WiFi analyzer dont see 6Ghz network also.

I also tried to connect 6Ghz by scanning the QR code of this network from the router settings - No result.

Does anyone have any ideas if this is a router problem or if I'm doing something wrong?

I would appreciate your help

Hi@IGORR,

It is not recommended that you update firmware to EU version. You can download the firmware directly from the US official website,Archer BE700(US)_V1_1.1.1 Build 20241115

Or, turn on the auto update button of firmware interface.

  @IGORR

As previously explained by TP-Link staff, at least on newer products the rightmost number of the version indicates the factory where the product was made at.

Version "...0" are apparently made in the main factory in China and most common, while "...6" and "...8" might be made in factories in Vietnam.

Apart from the place of manufacture the products are identical. Basically, they are so identical that even the router's software itself cannot distinguish and hence shows "v1.0", despite the label reading "v1.6".

Regarding your firmware question. If you download an Archer BE700 v1.x firmware from TP-Link's "US" website and then download the firmware with the same version number from an "EU" country's website, then you will notice that you have downloaded two identical files. Therefore, it would not make any difference.
(Note that this is the case for this particular router model. There are other router models that do have different firmware for different regions.)

Hi,

May I ask which country?

Apparently, if your country has opened up the 6 GHz band just recently, then manufacturers of 6 GHz-capable devices might not have updated the databases in their device's firmware yet.

  @woozle Hi!

I live in Kazakhstan. Wifi 6Ghz is adopted here.

I bought this router n the USA and there is a label US/1.6 on the back.

Apparently Kazakhstan opened the 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi about 8 months ago. That can be considered fairly recent.

Have your iPhone and the Galaxy S24 phones ever been able to connect to 6 GHz Wi-Fi network inside Kazakhstan?

Hi @IGORR,

Thank you for contacting our community.

For your issue, please try the following suggestions:

  • Make sure the 6GHz network is enabled and not hidden, you may check this on the Tether APP > More > Wi-Fi Settings.
  • Make sure your client device supports 6GHz Wi-Fi, drivers and system are all up to date.
  • If your Router and client device are not purchased from the same country, Wi-Fi 6E operation might not be available.You could refer to this article for more detailed instructions:What if my device failed to detect the 6 GHz Wi-Fi Band of Wi-Fi 6E Routers

Dear Joseph, Thanks for your explanation. Tell me can I flash the device with firmware marked EU if it is bought in US?

And why is in System menu:

Hardware Version - Archer BE700 v1.0

but on the box US/1.6 ?
