I have a question regarding the compatibility of the Tapo H200 with the Smart Thermostat KE100.  

 

Do I need to purchase the H100 as well (I just bought H200) in order to connect my KE100 thermostat to my app?  

 

In the Kasa app, it is only possible to add the H100 and then connect the KE100 through it. In the Tapo app, I can add both the H100 and H200, but the KE100 still only connects through the H100.  

 

Is there an update available that resolves this issue? I read that the latest update should allow the KE100 to connect to the H200, but I am still unable to do so.  

 

I would appreciate any clarification on this matter.

H100 and H200 are the Tapo smart hub. KE100 is a Kasa device, and it requires a KH100 hub, which is usually sold with the KE100 in a bundle, the KE100 KIT. 

 

Tapo app does not support KE100, and neither does the Tapo hub. To use the Kasa KE100 KIT, please install it with the Kasa app.

Thank you for your prompt response and for the clarification. Until now I didn't realise that there is a third hub KH100...

So for all reading this thread: there are at least three hubs from tp-link:

- Tapo H100

- Tapo H200

- Kasa KH100

Only the third one is working with smart thermostats and it connects through Kasa App and not through Tapo App. I hope this will help someone.

 

Is there any plan for an update (or is it even possible) to be able to connect Smart thermostats to Tapo Hubs?

Unfortunately we don't have accurate information on the plans for the product or device's features. You may follow TP-Link official website or product new firmware release to learn about the latest updates.
