Hi, thank you for the message.
Can I have the current firmware version of your Deco X50-5G?
If you haven't tried the 1.2.1 version here, it is suggested to update to this version first.
Best regards.

After updating my Deco x50-5G I'm still having trouble with this firmware.
The only thing i changed in my setup is the firmware and now my Samsung TV can't connect to the internet via ethernet. I can't reach my sonic pad which is also connected via ethernet.
Is there anything i can provide you before downgrading back to 1.1.5?

@David_Alex Oh wow TP-Link is now removing the evidence of memory usage maxing up all the time. Crazy. It's now impossible to prove our case moving forward.

I wanted to share my upgrade story with you.
I had the 1.1.7 firmware which I updated just a week ago. (I use the router at my summer cottage and this was the first time there this summer). All seemed good and with my Iskra P-60 antenna on the roof got a decent speeds over 100Mbps. But, the connection would drop suddenly after 1-3 hours and no reboot helped, only reset for the whole device. I wasn't very happy with this situation. The app didn't show the new firmware 1.2.1 but I upgraded via the web interface.
Initially, I had the same problem that the connection was dropped after a while, 1-2 hours. Being an engineer, I had to try different internet options so this is what I did.
1. Using the Cellmapper service, got the cells/bands I should be receiving
2. Used the cell lock to lock the connection to one these.
3. Surprisingly, the connection became stable and I had a continuous functional internet for a day. This wasn't ideal as using just one cell isn't that fast but stable nevertheless.
4. Removed the cell lock, kept all Internet settings at defaults.
5. Observed 4 cells being used when testing speed with speedtest getting up to 250Mbps download and 50Mbps upload.
6. The connection has been up for last four days without a single disconnect.
7. Me happy!
This is in Finland with operator DNA using pre-paid 4g/5g SIM.
Cheers, Juha

@JosD
hi JosD,
I think you can install it. I haven't had a disconnection for 6 days now. I've also scheduled a reboot around 5 a.m. in the settings.
Works perfectly well (for the moment).

---Have you tried to unplug/plug the Ethernet cables and restart these two devices?
---Did they show up in the Deco APP "Online List"?
---If you check their IP settings, can they get any IP addresses from Deco X50-5G?

It has been mentioned in the Update notice of the first post:
It can't be directly reverted to the official 1.1.7/1.1.5 versions via the web UI. But it can be achieved via the intermediate firmware 1.2.0_build_20241206.
Please refer to the bold black reply. Thank you very much.
Best regards.

I have upgraded from version 1.2.0, which was a mess, to 1.2.1. The new version is more stable. It runs for several hours (24+) without restarting. However, it is probably necessary to set up a scheduled daily restart. It is a shame that the monitoring of CPU load and memory usage has been removed

An update to my previous post. My system has now been running without any errors for three days. This looks really promising!

My current setup:
X50-5G: 1.2.0 Build 20241230 Rel. 33540
X50: 1.5.5 Build 20240718 Rel. 44414
It's been working without a problem since January.
Honestly, at this point the only thing that would make me upgrade the firmware is the option to manually choose the 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz Bands.
It's almost fascinating how dumb the choice of Band is after every single scheduled reboot.
Here's a representation of this month, for data:
I have all my outside AP-Omada (EAP225-outdoor) locked on band 13 for the 2.4Ghz.
But every time the X5-5G picks the Band 9, there goes all my outdoor cameras (C310). *sigh*
