Is there a way to block a hard reset using the power button on the smart plug? I wish I could have a firmware that would let me do it.

I would like to set them as 2 hours timer for 2kw heaters and I don't want the users to hard reset them easily.

Some staff forget to switch off the heaters before going home and this is one of the reasons we use timers. Staff can use heaters during all shifts but they should switch them off when leaving the site. Unfortunately not everyone does it.

If it had an individual reset button I could use tamper proof/warranty seal. The heaters are checked annually for PAT testing and the seals would be checked at the same time.

If the seal gets broken, a hardwired timer would be fitted.
 

I am not worried about people removing the smart plug as it would be visible and reported by anyone around and regularly checked by supervisors.

The current timers in use are more expensive than the Tapo Smart Plug and I believe they don't have the same quality and features.
