Firmware Version: 1.6.4 Build 25011612 Rel. 4416

I have set up ipvanish asa a vpn client on my router and it works fine when I have just logged into the VPN but the login authentication token times out which causes the vpn to drop with no notification, is there any way to get a non expiring authentication token or failing that block internet access until the vpn is back up

Hi, welcome to the community.

It is suggested to install the latest 1.6.7 firmware for Deco X50_V1 to see whether it made any difference:

Deco X50/X55_V1_1.6.7 Optimized the Client Network Stability

By the way, I see IPVanish supports both OpenVPN and WireGuard VPN protocols. Did you connect Deco X50 to IPVanish via OpenVPN or WireGuard?

If it is OpenVPN, I think you refer to this support link to manually edit the "session token timeout" in the vpn.config file:

https://openvpn.net/as-docs/tutorials/tutorial--session-token-commands.html

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

I am on the latest version and am using wire guard so I will give open vpn a go.

Ip vanish have confirmed that this is a known issue with x50 deco devices as the client doesn't support Re authentication
