Tapo D235 problem with recording on QNAP NAS
Hi,
I have a Tapo C100 indoor camera that records 24/7 to my QNAP NAS without any problems for the last couple of years. Last week I have bought a D235, I have hardwired it with a 19V/27W powersource and put it in always on mode. In my QNAP Surveillance Station I have configured the D235, it tests OK for username/password/ports etc., but after "connecting" it's status is "standby/ not recording" instead of "connected/recording".
What I noticed is that when I change the resolution (2K to 960p) and framerate (20 to 15) of the D235 in the TAPO-app only the framerate is changed in the QNAP videosettings, the resolution stays 2560x1920 and cannot be changed.
When I change the ipadress in this configuration from the ipadress of the D235 to the ipadress of the C100 camera and reload the videosettings it starts recording instantly. Settings for planned recording, ONVIF ProfileS etc. are thus correct.
Connection through VLC works for both cameras.
Is there a difference between the way the D235 works with ONVIF/RTSP compared to the C100? And if so, is this something tp-link can adjust?
