Model: Archer BE3600
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 20250318 rel.31873(4555)

So I got two new BE3600 units for my home setup and NAS. While setting them up, I managed to access the settings and set up static aggregation.

But after updating, that setting was gone, and I was confused. I thought it was a bug—or maybe not, I wasn’t sure. I checked my other new unit, and the setting was still there.

So now I’m not sure if they’re hiding it on purpose or if it’s just a coincidence.

Honestly, I'm getting really disappointed—been using TP-Link for years, and this is just frustrating.

Hi @Guttyy,

Thank you for contacting our community.

Did you update firmware of both routers? Will the link aggregation option disappear on these two routers?

You mentioned that you have downgrade firmware, are you using 1.1.3 Build 20241211 rel.47943 for routers now?

Hi  @Joseph-TP

Thank you for replying. I'm currently using 1.1.4 Build 20250318 rel.31873 with modified firmware.

My second device hasn't been updated yet good thing, because I couldn't find this firmware on the TP-Link website: 1.1.0 Build 20240729 rel.16363(4555).

So, I managed to decrypt it, take the older firmware, and modify the new patch firmware.

Hi@Guttyy,

Thank you for your reply.

I may be a little confused. Have you tried to contact our technicians to get firmware? Or has the static aggregation option on the main router been restored after updating to version 1.1.4?

Hi  @Joseph-TP

Regarding contacting a technician — no, I never reached out to any tech support or TP-Link services. I decided to take the risk my own device and try to reverse-engineer the firmware. Instead of waiting a week for a response from TP-Link (which, as you know, is not easy to get), I chose to troubleshoot it on my own.

The static link aggregation issue appeared after updating from version 1.1.0 to 1.1.4 — the settings disappeared. The only way to bring them back is to either downgrade to 1.1.0 or modify version 1.1.4. I managed to unlock the settings in 1.1.4. I’d prefer not to explain how I did it, but with my programming and security experience, I’d rate TP-Link's security around 6 out of 10.

Thank you,

Hi@Guttyy,

Thank you for your reply.

After confirmation, this model Archer BE3600 does not have this function.
In other words, the new firmware deletes this function in order to correctly display the functions that the router explicitly supports.

Best Regards~
