Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 250519 Rel. 093612

Hi everyone,

I have a question about the Tapo RV-20 Max Plus robot vacuum. I live in a multi-floor house, and I was wondering if this model can be used on different floors.

Since the robot uses mapping, is it possible to add a map for the lower floor without moving the charging station from the main floor? Would this cause any issues with navigation or performance?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You don't have to move the dock when creating a new map for another floor, the robot vacuum itself is enough.

My situation is identical to yours with the main floor with the dock and another floor.

I just mapped the upper floor without moving the dock and the floor mapped no problem. However after that the robot constantly searched for the dock (on the other floor) and I had to manually stop the unit.

I would also like to know if there is a fix to this.

Yes, the mapping progress needs to be stopped manually if the dock isn't on the same floor.

In which locations does your robotic vacuum usually alert you that it has detected stairs? Please share some images of these areas for us to review.

Do you have a RV20 Max Plus as well? What's its firmware version?
