Hi, I wanted to ask does two of the same MR47BE v1 with the same firmware 1.0.2 Build 20240112 rel.376(4555) support easymesh via ethernet backhaul, it seems that I can't find any related information about this online.

  @fR1k0   @Joseph-TP

I know this is an old thread, but since information about MR47BE (including Mercusys itself) is very scarce, here I want to add some reply about it.

I bought 2 units of MR47BE for the hope of using ethernet backhaul. I tried to reach Mercusys Malaysia but the option to contact them by email was turned off in their website. The only way for me to get support is through my local seller using Shopee. The seller claimed to be the official seller and when asked about the ethernet backhaul support, they have to ask TP-Link. TP- Link responded that the Mercusys MR47BE does not support ethernet backhaul. So, clearly MR47BE IS TP-Link product. The guy who responded to your post clearly have no idea. Perhaps beyond his/her paygrade.

I managed to email them and they sent me a beta firmware for mr47be which support ethernet backhaul, you can try to update it but i can't attach it in here as it is 43mb

  @fR1k0

Many thanks. It works, with "Mercury Beta" as the background of the webpage.

However, from the main EasyMesh router, at the EasyMesh Devices, and when I click at "Manage", I could open the webpage of my EasyMesh satellite. However, when I put in the password that I set earlier, it said password incorrect.

I repeat the process of adding the new satellite unit, but this time, I bind with my Mercusys ID and proceed with changing it to EasyMesh satellite. Still, I couldn't login into the satellite configuration page, and the satellite unit is not available on the Mercusys app.

Can you access your satellite unit's web page?

I bought 2 units of MR47BE router. I was hoping it supports ethernet back haul but I recall reading somewhere that the unit does not support. Anyhow, it's holding up really well over WiFi.

  @nayket

The beta firmware above support ethernet backhaul. At least it shown with ethernet pic./status.

BUT, the performance was very, very poor. Switching/roaming between APs was bad. Not worth it with double NAT, it makes my home LAN very complicated. I have OpenVPN running at my main router (not the MR47BE), accessing devices under the MR47BE becomes more complex (possible, but complicated).
