Hey all,

I just bought and set up the Tapo D230S1, but I’m noticing the video stream takes ages to load — sometimes it doesn’t load at all.

For context, I already have two other Tapo cams with RSSI values of -46 and -62, and they both stream just fine. I’m currently using the 30-day Tapo Cloud trial (no local storage on any of the devices yet).

Anyone else experienced this with the D230S1?

Could it be a firmware, signal, or cloud issue?

Make sure the VPN is disabled on your phone when using the Tapo app. Is your phone on home wifi when watching the live stream? Any issues when watching the playback videos?

Try to use another phone or tablet, see if the same situation exists. Make sure the Tapo app is updated as well. What's its current version?
