P110 Stopped Working
I received a notification on my phone from the Tapo app with the following message: Power too high. Device was powered off... I did not notice it at first so I turned it on for a second time after which I received the same warning again. I looked at the plug and the LED was blinking orange and green (as if it was in Setup mode). The issue is that had been using it before without incident.
I tried to remove the device and reconnect it back but the device cannot be discovered during the setup process. Please note that it shows up as a connection on my phone's network list.Things that I have already tried are listed bellow.
Tried connecting to it using different connection methods including bluetooth.
Tried connecting to it using two different 2.5gHz networks.
Tried reconnecting after resetting the device by holding down the power button for 5-10 seconds.
Tried reconnecting after trying different power outlets.
Something that I did subsequently that might have contributed to this issue is that a macbook air was connected to it which was running a power management app called "el dante" that forces the laptop to bypass the battery to directly use power from the wall socket after a certain charging threshold has been reached. Also, I was using the device on Home Assistant after enabling third-party integration.
