my deco does not show up my windows 11 computer.

i distribute a fixed DHCP IP to stable the connection between my windows and my Quest2.

but my deco does not show up my windows computer on the list of online clients.

if i turned on random hardware address on PC, it detects my PC. but when i get my computer's hardware address fixed, it doesn't detect the PC again.

but my PC tells it connects the wifi with the correct fixed IP address, but i can't see anything about my computer on deco app.

this doesn't happen on my Quest2.

does anyone have some solutions? 

please tell me.

It is suggested to update Deco X50 to the latest 1.6.7 first to see whether it helped:

1. Configure your Windows computer to request IP address dynamically.

 

2. Using Deco app, assign (reserve) static IP address to that computer, follow this FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1795/

 

 

As a result, you'll see Windows computer in Deco app and Windows computer will always have same IP address.

i'm sorry if my English is hard to understand. i'm not a native speaker. and i may have explained my issue unclearly before.

 

Actually, i have already tried the steps you suggested.

i set my PC to use DHCP, and i assigned a fixed IP address to it on the Deco app. my pc connects correctly with the assigned IP address.

however, the main issue is that my PC doesn't appear in the online client list of the Deco app; even though it is connected properly.

 

Because of that, i can't 

• see which Deco unit my PC is connected to.

• check traffic data between my PC and Deco.

• confirm whether device-specific wifi settings or QoS rules working for my PC

 

when i enabled the randomized MAC address option on my PC, it is showed up in the online client list. but randomized MAC address breaks the QoS and wifi settings tied to the fixed MAC address.

 

So my question is: how can i make my pc show up in the online client list.

 

could this issue be caused by a specific settings on Deco or Windows? or is it a known bug? ( i already tried rebooting) 

 

any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.

after i updated Deco units, my windows computer appears in the list of online clients again.

the problem has been solved.
