Ciao,

do you mean that the "Added Cell Lock feature" is working well?

About "the carrier aggregation permanent on" what I understood is that It doesn't depend on the router.

I have also a router ZYXEL 4G and it has the same beaviour of the MR600, the aggregation it's not permanent, but I can sey that MR600 is better.

I'm based in Italy and not sure if this Release  can be load on my  MR600.

Ciao JensB,

I read it, thanks.

Have you noticed an overall improvement with this new version?

Or is it the same?

  @slowslow

No real improvements as I am unable to run it in the real world besides speed tests which are meaningless.

The real world: My wife is working for a call center from home, which uses various software: VPN, Citrix and  other job related software 8 to 9 hours per day. This means we can't really try the MR600v5 as we can't afford drop outs or even worse disconnecting from the main server or breaking the VPN. As long the MR600v5 has no permanent carrier aggregation this modem is useless for our purpose.

And the moment we are using the MR600v1 which delivers a stable connection with Archer_MR600v1_1.3.0_0.9.1_[210608-rc66100]_up_boot_2021-06-08_18.29.15 firmware without any dropouts at all. Its without manual carrier aggegation but stays permanent on band 7 and 3 (2600/1800 MHz).

We believe that its not good switching bands on and off for a stable connection in our situation.

Ciao,

so you mean that MR600V1 is better then the MR600V5  ?

Hope TP-link is reading this conversation so that they can release the same Firmware  release used in the V1

Had another go today (weekend). Result: unscrewed the Antennas (they are actually pretty good compared the Taoglas 30 I use) and put the MR600v5 in the bin. This is really a joke from TP-Link.

I used the same location and setup as I do with the MR600v1 (210608build, Band 7+3) with the extender RE450. Below speedsmart info in Red MR600v5 and MR600v1 in Blue. So I will stick with the MR600v1 which has a bit of additional firmware which is easy to change if the requirements changes. I believe the version one is way superior to version 5. And I have big doubts about the idea often mentioned by others that carrier aggregation is controlled by the ISP. My speed smart picture is telling a different story!!!!

Which MR600 version do you have?

Ciao JensB, I have the MR600 V5 Hi, I have the MR600V5 version. I decided to get this version because I thought it was superior to V1. I don't think it's a hardware issue, but a firmware one. I hope TP Link comes out with a better firmware release.
