Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.14 Build 20241223 Rel. 16551

Hello,

I am looking to enable the Captive Portal option for my guest network, but I don't see the option. My network consists of a main XE75 Pro (Firmware: 1.2.14 Build 20241223 Rel. 16551), as well as 2 other XE75 Pro connected to it (Firmware: 1.2.14 Build 20241223 Rel. 16551), as well as an X50-PoE (Firmware: 1.4.9 Build 20250110 Rel. 65349), and a BE25 (Firmware: 1.0.17 Build 20250403 Rel 13304).

I only need the guest network on the XE75Pro units, so if it's because I have other units, is it possible to have those broadcast a different SSID or something like that? I'm using the X50 in the garage for some smart devices, and the BE25 to bring some Ethernet ports to my TV area.

Thanks,

  @GenericUser

Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.

The current firmware of Deco XE75/75 Pro, as well as Deco BE25, doesn't support Captive Portal Option under the Guest network.(Deco X50-POE does)

I think you can try to enable the IOT network:

TP-Link IoT Network

Best regards.

  @David-TP Thank you for your reply. I'm confused as to how a "higher end" router is missing features that a lower end router supports? Why is there no clear article which specifies which router supports the feature? Will this feature come to the XE75 Pro?
