Hello Everyone, 

 

It all started when my ineternet was since yesterday. 

 

I raised request with the ISP(ACT) and service engineer came today and said the ineternet should be working as I was out said checked with the family member and confirmed that ineternet was working. when I reached the home and checked the speed of the internet felt slow compared so i did the speed test and I was shocked to find that  I am getting only 1/10 of my bandwidth. So i called him back him and informed about the issue, he confirmed that there is no changes made to wire or anything and I should be getting usual bandwidth. He said it might be due to router issue. At that Time I said that it could not be possible as it was perfectly fine till yesterday. Now as I had second router lying around I switched the router and I found that speeds are normal on that router. Its only when I use my Archer Ax23 I am having this problem. I reset the router and again tried but it still same problem, Can anyone say what is going on?

Thanks for getting back to me.

 

Have you tried resetting the router to its factory settings? 

How to reset: Press and hold the Reset hole for about 6 seconds until the Power LED blinks to reset the router to its factory default settings.

 

If it still doesn't work, please get in touch with local support for further help.

  • When i reset the router and setting it up I saw this . I never saw this when I first setup the router . Is it something to do with this

Hi,

 

Maybe the version of the Tether app you used when you first setup the router didn't provide this kind of notice. Is your Archer AX23 connected to another modem/router combo device?

 

Anyway, if by "1/10 of my bandwidth" you mean that you previously got 1000 Mbps and now only get 100 Mbps, then this could point to a problem with the Ethernet cable. You can check the actual connection speed of the Ethernet ports in the web management interface. ( http://tplinkwifi.net/ )

Welcome to our community.

 

Please confirm the Ethernet cable is CAT5E or higher.

Have you set the LAN port to "100Mbps Full Duplex",please change it to "1000Mbps Full Duplex".

I have done all those trouble shooting, it's the problem with router as used a different router and everything working fine
