Hi All

I have had to replace my TL-WR740N because in Active magazine it says that there are security issues with it. So I bought a TD-W9970.

Can I use it as a WDS bridge, wirelessly, to provide a repeater for other parts of my house?

I currently have a wireless connection between my main Plusnet router and the TL-WR740N and then a cabled connection to my laptop upstairs.

Can I do the same with the TD-W9970. I am confused by the unfamiliar menus.

The incoming VDSL unit is a Plusnet Hub Two Model number GRV9517UWAC34-A

Thanks in advance

Hello@surfer1234 ,

Welcome to our community.

Please refer to the specification of the TD-W9970. Its operation modes include DSL Modem Router, 3G/4G Router,  and Wireless Router. So it cannot work in WDS mode.

If you need a device to expand the network via wireless method, please consider adding a range extender.
