Hi all.

I have got the Deco X55 package, I have an outbuilding which is about 13 metres from the wall of the house, there are 4 x cat 6 network points running from the main house to the outbuilding, I use cabled connection to my 2 work laptops. 1 for my Tv streaming service and the other one is to extend WIFI to the outbuilding, the reason for going with the deco is that I want a seamless transition from the house to the outbuilding.

What was happening before is that when the wifi is turned on within my phone in the house, and I go into the outbuilding, its then still connecting to the house wifi even though the connection is low/poor signal, for that reason I suffer from poor connectivity, in fact I get fedup and turn off the wifi as I am better off using LTE 5G on the phone, but works well when the wifi is disconnected from the house wifi and connected to the outbuilding wifi, at the moment I have set up the DECO as 2 different WIFI points, which is still silly but that's what I know, I am here for someone to please tell me how to get the best out of my Deco X55.

Another option I was thinking of was to connect the main one to the ISP router, then connect the one in the outbuilding to the main Deco, would this be my best option ?

Can this be a X55 and X50 combination ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, may I know how many Deco X55 units you have?

Deco X55 will work well with Deco X50:Can different Deco models work together?

"Another option I was thinking of was to connect the main one to the ISP router, then connect the one in the outbuilding to the main Deco, would this be my best option ?"

It would be a good solution, and please also try to set Deco into Access Point mode:

How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

internet----ISP router---main Deco X55-------network switch/Ethernet hub-----2*work laptops

                                         |                                                                        \------TV box

                                         |(WiFi)                                                                \------satellite Deco X55

                                         |

                                       satellite Deco X55

(You can also disable the WiFi from the ISP router and use Deco Mesh as the only wireless network.)

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
