Model: Deco BE85
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20241023 Rel. 34667

I want to setup bedtime controll from 21:00 - 07:00.
It's setup for a kids profile.

System time is correct.

However the kid can continue to use the internet during the constraint times.

Only way to stop it seems to be actively blocking, but this is not a sustainable solution and no parental control is needed for this.

SInce this is the reason for which I have bougth parental contral it would be great if this could be fixed, or in case it's a configuration issue some clear guidance. (Actually it seems intuitive, that's why I rather think its a bug)

I saw those issues in other threads, but there was a note/request to open a separate thread for models that are not covered by the existing threads.
I didn't find this issue for BE85.

Thank you very much for your support.

  @Seadon

Hi,

If the Deco email account is the same as your community registration email, I can locate the APP log per email address.

It would be great if you could add the forum link to the content.laugh

When you click "Add System log", it will automatically abstract the log file from the Deco APP local data in the mobile phone storage. It can't be manually downloaded.

As for the 1.2.0, the beta upgrade notice is usually a routine announcement. It can be downgraded in certain ways, like firmware recovery(but it needs a factory reset). We can skip it first if you are worried.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @Seadon

Hi, welcome to the community.

Please refer to this link to help me submit the Deco App log:How to submit Deco APP log

Then, it is suggested to install the 1.2.0 firmware here to see whether it helps:

Deco BE85 1.2.0 Enhanced Mesh Backhaul Stability and Device Roaming Experience

Please also make sure the "Private/Random MAC Address" has been disabled.

By the way, did "Bed Time" work well before?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Dear David,

thanks a lot for your swift reply and the welcoming :)

Very much appreciated,

1.) Should I just submit the System Status as How to submit Deco APP log?
- can you match this than to my problem? (should I add the reference link to this thread?)

- or can I download the system log and send it to you

2.) When is the offical release for 1.2.0 currently planed?
Why do I ask:

- disclaimers/warning on loosing warrenty if a pre_release is deployed concerned me
- no downgrade back to the currently official relase possible (at least stated in the notes), in case the pre_release shows more issues than it solves

3.) No, bedtime did never work (but I actually did directly the recommend firmware upgrade after initial setup to 1.1.1, not even knowing what I had before)

I have the BE85 for only about 3-4 weeks so far.

Thanks a again for a short guidance.

Best,

Seadon
