Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20231227 Rel. 84005

So, I have a network at home, which consists of a router that receives the fiber optic cable from the internet provider. The Deco "Sala de estar" is connected via ethernet cable to this router. There is a second ethernet cable from "Sala de Estar" connected to Deco "Escritório", which shows up as connected with a strong signal, making me think the cable is working properly.

This network was functioning properly until about a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure what happened, but all equipment connected to "Escritório" suddenly disconnected and weren't able to connect anymore, except my phone, which in turn could only connect to "Escritório" and not "Sala de estar".

Then, I've tried restarting the router "Escritório", the network and also removed, reset and added it again. Now it does not work with my phone nor other equipment. The "Sala de estar" continues working and equipment can connect to it, including my phone now.

I have not changed anything in the configurations, but you can see them below.

It was already updated.

I solved it by completely removing the network as a whole and creating a new one. I wanted to avoid that due to the multiple IoT devices connected, but I couldn't afford staying with a half-baked network any more time, considering none of the troubleshooting was working.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Could you please help me test:

if we unplug the Ethernet cable between "Sala de estar" and "Escritório", will mobile devices start connecting to "Escritório" Deco M4?

It is also suggested to set a different Deco as the main Deco to see whether it helps:

How to replace the main Deco with another Deco

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

So I unplugged the Ethernet cable and it now shows as if the routers are connected via wifi. As you can see though, even equipment with weak signal (because they are close to the "Escritorio" router) only connect to "Sala de Estar".

I tried changing the main deco, but as you can see (though it's in pt-BR) there is no such option.
