Hello,

I've been trying to set up the deco but I'm struggling.

i have a great WiFi in both floors, that's great.

However, I need Ethernet connection to my pc, which is on the second floor. I have two units of the deco, one is placed by the router and connected via Ethernet cable and the second one is on the hall of the second floor. I see in the app that both have the best signal possible.

once I try to place the second deco in my room which is ten meters from the hall, I get the worst signal. I connected deco 2 to my pc via cable and get 250kb speed.

do I need a third unit for it to fix my problem?

any help is appreciated :)

Hi, have you ever used powerline adapters?

If the whole house is under the same electric meter, maybe you could consider adding a pair of powerline adapters, such as PG2400P KIT:

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Hello,

Yes, I use an old TP-Link powerline adapter that is up to 300MB.

I tried to plug it into the deco, but the Ethernet speed was worse.

Do you think I should be buying another deco to act as a bridge between the first one, which is connected to the router directly and one in my room connected to the PC?

Or get a new powerline?

Thank you for the time!

Roy

Hi Roy, thank you very much for your time and patience.

Maybe we can add one more Deco to the Mesh network. All Deco models work together.

If the main purpose is to provide an Ethernet connection, a lower-end Deco X10/Deco X20 would be a good choice:

Best regards.

If you have TV cable (coaxial cable) that goes from the room with router to the room with second Deco, there is another option I can share with you. Let me know.
