IoT network isolation in AP mode

IoT network isolation in AP mode
IoT network isolation in AP mode

Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I am finding myself in need of 3 different SSIDs with 2 of them being isolated (like most people).

1. Main secured network
2. Guest Network - Isolated
3. IoT - Isolated

This feature is so overdue now. Let us configure each network individually like IP, DNS, VLAN and isolation, or AT LEAST implement VLAN tagging on the decos and let us do our VLANs in our routers and just pass it on to the Deco. This is actually outrageous at their price point. The x50-PoE is at the same exact price as a Unifi U7 Lite. What is even the point of having an IoT network without the possibility to isolate it from the main network?

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

There hasn't been a plan to allow isolating the Main and IOT Network.

If you use Deco in AP mode, it would be better to replace it with our Omada Access Point for Multi-SSIDs:

How to configure Multi-Networks & Multi-SSIDs on Omada SDN Controller

Best regards.

@David-TP But we can't do that in Router mode either.
