After Update 1.1.4 (1.1.3 is the same) weak and Slow Wifi
After the firmware update (1.1.3 and 1.1.4), the Wi-Fi signal became weak and slow. Previously, the Wi-Fi signal was 200 Mbps at a distance of about 10 meters, now it's 30-40 Mbps, and the connection sometimes drops. A full reset didn't help.
I reinstalled 1.1.2, which works without any problems.

Hello @Hslinux, thank you for posting on the TP-Link Community.
Except for the 5G signal, did you observe any other differences after upgrading to the latest 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 versions? What about the 2.4G and 5G networks? Were they still working properly as before?
Regarding the 5G signal, could you please clarify the specific wireless settings (if you still remember)? Was the channel set to Auto, or did you use a fixed channel for the 5G network? How about the channel width?
Since you've downgraded to the previous 1.1.2 version and we haven't received similar feedback from other users, we will monitor this first and request that our testing team deploy further tests with the new firmware.
If you have any other findings, please don't hesitate to let us know.

I don't use a 2.4 network 2.4 ghz signal disable and 5G networks channel is 64 (802.11 ac 80 mhz) I tested two devices results were the same.
I only have a 6g device and next to router without problems

I have the exact same experience with my BE550 v1
after updating to the 1.1.4. firmware the wifi signal has been weak. Downgrading to 1.1.2. has solved it
I have tested with wifi analyzer on my oneplus 12 running android 15, and a speed test app on my google streamer 4k. Both from the far end of my living room ca 12m and 2 (exclay) walls from the router. my phone shows stronger signals and the speedtest is significantly faster with 1.1.2 Every thing else is unchanged. see attached images.
Hope this helps

Hello @Jakob_D, thank you very much for your testing and feedback.
Archer BE550 V1 will receive a new 1.2.1 official firmware very soon, which is expected to be released in the next week. Please check for the updates on your router's web GUI or via the Tether App to update it and observe if the 5G signal and speed will become normal.

Today I installed the new firmware version 1.2.1. My speed is back, but stability is gone. Speed tests aren't always consistent, and jitter is usually very high, but sometimes it's as it should be. I wanted to reinstall 1.1.2, but it didn't work after the update. Is this a bug ?

Great, not only did you not solve the problem, but you've now made it unusable for me. . I can't understand why they're preventing me from installing old software on the hardware I bought.

thank you for replying.
I'm wary about updating to 1.2.1 since it seems to introduce stability problems, and the firmware clearly states that it is not possible to downgrade.
I think I'll stick to 1.1.2 for now

@Tp Link
You're releasing new firmware and preventing downgrades. This is unacceptable. It's unbecoming of you to force users to use the new firmware if problems arise. A warning before installing it wouldn't mean anything, because your customers have no way of knowing if problems will arise. I'm curious about your reasoning for blocking it. Firmware 1.1.2 is quite stable, and I've never experienced any issues with it. As if that's not enough, you're forcing me to use the problematic firmware.
Unless you fix this mistake, I don't think I'll ever use TP-Link again.

I too face the problem of wifi speed drop with fw 1.1.4 and instability with clients wifi connection speed (pc 3m away from rooter shows speeds between 2888 to 3453 when with 1.1.2 is steady at 3843, iphones wifi indicator sporadically drops to 2 bars from 3 in the same room and position etc),
Also i face a newly introduced lan link instability to a tl-sg108-m2 switch connection through wall sockets and cat 5e cabling. It sporadically drops to 100mbps when with 1.1.2 it is steady on 1.000mbps and even reach 2.5gbps upon rooter hard reboot when the switch is already up and running.
Reverted back to 1.1.2 despite facing the no-ip update problem as i can live with that and i will ignore the 1.2.1 fw as i am fed up facing new problems with every firmware update.
