Model: Tapo H500
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

When insert Western Digital WD Green 2.5" SATA SSD with size 2TB into my Tapo H500 Hub, the disk indicator is showing red light.

Upon checking with Malaysia support team, they shared this link (https://www.tp-link.com/my/support/faq/4572/) on the compatibility list. May I know when can the device support this SSD?

Aside to that, can someone help to share the SSD models that you guys are using, whether the same as compatibility list above?

There are numerous brands and models of hard drives on the market, and quality can vary, which makes compatibility issues hard to avoid. You can try following the suggestions, if it doesn't help, you may want to consider using another hard drive. We recommend choosing a model listed in the compatibility list.

  • Ensure the hard drive can be recognized and function correctly on other devices, like a computer.
  • Make sure the hub is powered off when installing the hard drive. Try to restart the hub as well.
